The Blade released their interview on the event today. We met with their writer who focused on art happenings in Toledo. For the most part the article isn’t as bad as it could be, but we all know for a fact that outside of skateboarding, people just don’t get us, or it.

Skateboard artworks capture joy of sport
In the small, fiercely independent world of skateboarding, art and athletics intersect.
“It’s a sport that intertwines perfectly with art; there’s an individuality you have in both,” said Michael Paulus, 34, skateboarder, artist, and coproducer of “Just Inspired.” This new exhibit is an homage to the young sport that exhilarates its athletes with speed, a sense of freedom, and moments of airborne weightlessness.
I even have the Tutak and Mills action figures. I make them argue about skate facts. Mills comes with the “talk to the hand” quick release button and Scotts does no complys for days.

Ten years ago Scott Tutak decided Toledo’s skate community needed a haven. Today, Just Skateboarding, the small shop on Middlesex Drive, next to the University of Toledo is a place where local skaters know they can find familiar faces, expert advice and sweet gear.
On Saturday, August 18, two Just fans and local skaters, Michael Paulus and Ryan Shull unveil a ten year anniversary blowout for the shop, called “Just Inspired,” is a skater-centric art show/party — featuring 15 local artists — that will take place at Space 237, 237 N. Michigan St., from 7 - 10 p.m.
Just 10 year anniversary party is this coming August 18th.

Almost forgot to post this. Andy Avina is having a pre-st.patty’s day party and ramp session. If you have partied with Andy when he lets loose you know its a sight to be hold. These days he doesn’t party like he used to, and with good reason. He does however, bring it on at his own parties. If you are looking to get tackled, splashed with beer, hurt as an inocent by stander, or just wanna watch the maddness unfold, this party is for you. of course, there will be skating too.
things usually kick off early like 7. He tries to have the bands wrapped up by midnight for the neighbors sake. so get there at a reasonable time. I seem to always show up late. I’ll try to change that tonight so i can get my skate on.
